Mechanical / Naval Engineer – Technical Department

Italian maritime company operating mainly in national ports is seeking a Mechanical or Naval Engineer to support the technical management of its fleet of harbour and deep-sea tugboats (azimuth and rudder tug).

Main Responsibilities

• Technical management of vessels and onboard systems
• Supervision of maintenance, repairs, and dry‑docking
• Monitoring engines, propulsion systems, and machinery
• Ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and class requirements
• Collaboration with crew, suppliers, shipyards, and classification societies

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering or experience as Chief Engineer on tugboats
• 3 years of maritime engineering experience
• Strong knowledge of propulsion and diesel engine systems
• Italian language knowledge at minimum B2 level
• Fluency in English
• Willingness to relocate to Livorno and travel when required even on short notice
• Valid residence permit allowing work and travel within Europe
