The role:

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Finance AR & Credit Controlling team. The ideal candidate will manage the billing process with a high level of autonomy, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, payment follow‑up, and credit control. This role is perfect for someone with solid experience in AR who wants to take ownership of processes and contribute to continuous improvement.

What will you do:

  • Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations
  • Monitor customer accounts and proactively follow up on overdue payments
  • Perform credit checks and manage customer credit limits in line with company policies
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Treasury teams
  • Support month‑end closing activities and prepare AR reports for management
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures
  • Contribute to process improvements and ERP system optimisation

Requirements:

  • Background: Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Experience: 3–4 years in the role, preferably within an international manufacturing environment
  • Professional Skills: Knowledge of accounting principles, invoicing procedures and credit control practices and risk management
  • IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems

Language Skills:

  • Fluent in English (B2/C1); additional languages (e.g. French) are a plus

Soft Skills:

  • Analytical mindset, excellent communication and negotiation skills, proactive and organised

Details:

  • Location: Gallarate (VA), Italy – with the possibility to work from home up to 2 days per week (optional)
  • Working hours: Full time, 40 h/week, from Monday to Friday. You can start your day between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m., enjoy a lunch break of 1 to 1.5 hours anytime between 12:30 and 2:30 p.m., and wrap up your workday starting from 5:00 p.m. while completing a full 8‑hour workday
