Aircraft Mechanic I (Conus & Oconus)

ACET is seeking

• C-26 Aircraft Mechanic I at the following locations:
• PMRF- Barking Sands, Hawaii
• USTPS- Patuxent River, MD

Responsibilities

1. Performs routine aircraft maintenance functions.
2. Operates aircraft towing equipment in towing operations as required.
3. Maintains aircraft fuel, oil, and hydraulic systems.
4. Performs preventive maintenance inspections on aircraft and aircraft systems and subsystems.
5. Performs troubleshooting, repair, modifications, corrosion control, and preservation of aircraft and aircraft systems and aircraft sub-systems, including fuel, oil, and hydraulic systems. Overhauls aircraft components and sub-components.
6. Services ground support equipment. Performs preventive maintenance inspections on all ground support equipment.
7. Completes maintenance documentation and required forms accurately, as required by job assignment.

Requirements

1. Must be skill qualified and possess a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
2. Must be proficient in repairing fuel tanks and fuel leaks.
3. High school diploma or equivalent required.
4. Able to meet any Government / Company licensing / qualification requirements for the position.
5. U.S Citizen and must pass a background check and be able to obtain and maintain a Common access card.
6. Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.
7. Must have valid U.S. Passport.
8. Must demonstrate an operational knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, engines, and component parts.
9. Must have knowledge of the proper use of hand tools in aircraft maintenance.
10. Able to read and write, and interpret and comply with aircraft maintenance procedures, manuals, specifications, and directives, guides, and forms used on the job.
11. Previous maintenance experience with Metroliner 23 preferred.
12. Previous C-26 aircraft and fixed-wing, pressurized, twin-engine turboprops experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

1. Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds independently.
2. Must be able to pass fit for work physical and/or drug test as required.
3. Must be able to work in areas that require awkward posturing, bending, kneeling, squatting, including working overhead. Position requires sitting and/or standing at workbenches and wire boards 99% of the day.
4. Must be able to work at height in the hangar and on the flightline.
5. Must be able to man and perform Flightline Extinguisher duties.
6. If required, must be able to pass a DOT physical and operate Powered Industrial Trucks.
7. If required, must be able to pass a respiratory physical and wear a respirator for 2-4 hours.
8. If required, must be able to perform confined space activities.
9. Position requires repetitive hand use using wire cutters, crimpers, etc.
10. Travel may be required.
