Your contribution to Prysmian's Success

We are looking for an Italy High Voltage System Design Engineer to join our team based in Milan.

The successful candidate will learn while focusing on the following activities:

• Provide support during meetings with customer representatives at all stages to ensure Prysmian compliance with customer requirements and satisfaction.
• Help the team define detailed costing of all materials and the technical content of Prysmian submissions to customers.
• Support thermal/electrical/mechanical calculations for determining product and system technical proposals, ensuring calculations and work procedures comply with technical and quality standards.
• Help develop new calculation tools for determining product and system technical proposals.
• At contract stage, under supervision of Contracts Engineering Manager, provide support in preparing formal documentation and design information for manufacturing cable and accessories and for cable installation activities.
• Cooperate with clients, civil works companies and engineering companies to carry out standard or special activities related to the design of the HV cable system.

Are you the right fit?

Electrical (or Energy) Engineering degree, preferably with a specialization in cable transmission systems.

Basic programming skills.

Knowledge of electromagnetic design calculations; thermal and mechanical design calculations will be considered a plus.

Experience in similar fields will be considered a plus.

Fluency in Italian and English.

Preferred qualifications

• Good knowledge of Office package.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of BIM will be considered a plus.
• Availability to travel.
