Senior Art Director

We are looking for a person to join our Brand and Communication team in Milan as Art Director . In this role, you will be responsible for translating strategic and creative briefs into compelling visual concepts that embody the Moleskine brand.

You will bring ideas to life with exceptional aesthetic sensibility and conceptual clarity. You’ll also craft engaging visual presentations that communicate our ideas internally and externally with clarity and impact.

You will collaborate closely with experienced copywriters (native or fluent English speakers) and report directly to the Brand Communication Officer .

Main responsibilities

• Translate strategic and creative briefs into powerful visual concepts.
• Develop high-quality visual assets across campaigns, presentations, and branded content.
• Create impactful presentations that clearly express creative ideas and narratives.
• Collaborate with copywriters, strategists, and other creative team members to ensure cohesive messaging.
• Uphold and evolve the visual identity of Moleskine across channels and platforms.
• Contribute to creative ideation sessions and help shape the overall direction of brand communications.

Requirements

• 5–6+ years of experience in art direction or visual communication within creative agencies or in‑house design teams.
• Proven ability to interpret strategic needs and turn them into compelling visual narratives.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating concept development, visual storytelling, and attention to detail.
• Ability to deliver high-quality creative work on tight timelines.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills; a team player who thrives in a cross‑functional environment.
• Professional fluency in English (written and spoken).

Technical Skills (required)

• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite : InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Word.
• Experience using AI tools for image generation, including prompt writing.

Technical Skills (preferred)

• Basic video editing skills (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro or similar tools).
