Delivery Lead (Remote) – Agile Lab

Agile Lab, founded in 2014, delivers data‑intensive solutions that enable modern organisations to discover, value, and produce their data in both traditional environments and fully compliant Data Mesh architectures. With a highly skilled team of over 260 data engineers across Europe, we support organisations through end‑to‑end data‑driven transformations.

The opportunity

We are seeking a talented Delivery Lead to manage complex data engineering projects and guide a team of up to 25 people. The position is fully remote, with a competitive salary of RAL 62 K‑78 K plus a 4 K retention pack.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex projects from inception to delivery, ensuring quality, efficiency, and alignment with company standards.
  • Provide hands‑on delivery support, including coding, to help the team meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Collaborate with clients to deeply understand functional and technical needs, translating them into roadmaps and actionable solutions.
  • Develop strong, persuasive technical and commercial proposals.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure quality, on‑time delivery, and budget compliance.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to proactively manage risks, priorities, requirements, and deviations.
  • Plan and coordinate activities across multiple teams, managing capacity, workloads, dependencies, and resources.
  • Lead up to 25 people, balancing technical guidance, individual growth, and team performance.
  • Identify and address both technical and non‑technical issues decisively, proposing sustainable solutions.
  • Spot and nurture emerging leaders within teams, supporting their professional development.
  • Help foster and maintain a healthy, transparent, and results‑oriented work environment.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in development roles and at least 2 years in leadership positions on critical and complex projects.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) with a focus on quality and stability.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating technical and commercial proposals.
  • Excellent multi‑team planning and management skills (capacity, deadlines, task assignment).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle critical conversations and negotiate with clients.
  • Strategic vision and deep knowledge of the business domain.
  • Action‑oriented and strong problem‑solving mindset.
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, and supporting professional growth of team members.
  • Familiarity with cloud‑native and modern technologies (e.g., IaC, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Ansible).
