As part of our Innovation and R&D team, you will play a pivotal role in developing high-performance, sustainable solutions tailored to the E&E sector. You’ll collaborate with R&D project leaders, laboratory teams, and technical experts to turn market demands into innovative applications that meet stringent performance and regulatory requirements.
Your mission as Application Development Manager – Electric & Electronic:
- Lead the development of new E&E applications using thermoplastic materials, like amon others : on connectors, photovoltaic components, and home appliance parts.
- Translate customer and market requirements into technical specifications and development projects, ensuring alignment with automotive standards and performance criteria.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation from concept to industrialization, including material selection, prototyping, and validation.
- Maintain strong technical relationships with E&E customers, design engineers, and development partners to ensure successful application integration.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for polyamide-based solutions in E&E market.
- Support sustainability goals by enabling safer, more energy-efficient, and recyclable solutions for electrical and electronic applications.
What you bring:
- A university degree in plastics, materials science, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in application development or technical roles within the engineering plastics industry, specifically focused on Electric & Electronic applications.
- Solid understanding of thermoplastic materials (especially polyamides) and their behavior in automotive environments (e.g., electrical insulation, flame retardancy, dimensional stability).
- Experience working with OEMs or Tier suppliers, including familiarity with design cycles, validation protocols, and industry standards (e.g., UL, IEC).
- Strong project management skills and the ability to work in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders.
