To strengthen our team in Milan we are currently looking for:

System Administrator

As System Administrator, you will work and support IT Infrastructure DACH team within an international environment and being part of Digital Experience Team.

Main Activities

• Administer Linux systems (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) including shell scripting, package management, and service configuration
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement tuning recommendations
• Design and implement backup strategies using enterprise backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault)
• Implement security hardening for Windows and Linux systems following industry best practices and organizational policies
• Manage patch management processes to ensure timely security updates across all systems
• Support compliance initiatives and audit requirements
• Installation and updating of application and system software
• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting tools
• Monitoring of IT operations
• Design and implementation of backup, recovery, and security procedures, as well as ensuring fail‑safety
• Administer Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops infrastructure for application and desktop delivery
• User support in case of issues
• Further development of virtualization concepts / use of cloud solutions
• Strict adherence to security and IT standards; participation in the creation and continuous improvement of additional policies and standards
• Participation in and management of internal projects, e.g., when introducing new application software
• Collaboration with IT security officers and data protection officers
• Creation of technical documentation

Requirements

• Degree in computer science or a comparable qualification with several years of professional experience
• Very good knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Citrix Netscaler / Provisioning Services / Storefront / XenApp7; VMware ESXi / vCenter / Windows Active Directory / Server / Storage / Cluster
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English and German.
