Job Overview

Are you passionate about driving continuous improvement and building strong supplier partnerships? As a Supplier Quality Engineer you will work closely with suppliers on exciting projects—ensuring they meet our specifications while helping them elevate their performance.

Responsibilities

• Selection and qualification of new suppliers, supporting the purchasing office in selecting new suppliers.
• Conduct preliminary audits of potential new suppliers when needed.
• Promote the implementation of a quality assurance system for risk reduction.
• Define Vendor Rating (VR) parameters according to the context.
• Coordinate corrective actions in case of unsatisfactory VR values and verify their effectiveness.
• Conduct audits at suppliers (process audits, follow‑ups) as needed.
• Help establish long‑term relationships of mutual trust with suppliers.
• Guide suppliers on group specifications; oversee initial supplies when needed.
• Ensure supplier quality incidents are managed: non‑conformities are addressed, supplier corrective actions are approved, and quality incident costs are assessed.
• Identify potential cost reduction actions on supplier processes, monitor processes, promote preventative actions, mitigate negative trends, and promote simplification and reduction of controls.

Qualifications

• Technical strong background.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant role, preferably in the machinery or industrial sector.
• Knowledge of the ISO 9001 standard.
• Proficient in English.
• Experience in supplier quality management and familiarity with process improvement methodologies.
• Ability to conduct effective supplier audits (ISO 19011 part 2 preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Competent in using the Microsoft Office package.
• Ability to travel up to 50% across the country.
