Gorizia LRDQ Manager

Main Purpose of the Role

The Local RDQ Manager will be in charge of the management of the plant processes related to the design and industrialization areas of new products, their packaging materials, and quality control.

The Gorizia plant is in a phase of volume increase that will introduce additional needs in technological support processes (problem solving and continuous improvement, introduction of new raw materials), as well as in managing “new product development” and “new product launch”.

What you will do

• Responsible for managing the R&D team at the Gorizia plant;
• Lead the development process of new products, ensuring adherence to project briefs, respect for timelines, and compliance with quality and food safety requirements;
• Management of the budget for the activities of the team (laboratory management and analytical monitoring plan for raw materials and finished products, industrial trials related to edible products and/or packaging materials);
• Ensure the quality and food safety compliance of products according to PVM standards, customer requirements, and international regulations;
• Guarantee continuous improvement of performance indicators within your area of responsibility (e.g., complaints, food safety events, adherence to value engineering projects);
• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including plant functions, R&D, Marketing, and Regulatory Affairs and external ones (suppliers, customers and Authorities).

Our Perfect Candidate

• Degree in a scientific field (food science and technology, biology, or chemistry);
• Relevant experience in a technical role related to new product development and in a managerial position;
• Deep knowledge of the industrialization process of new products;
• Knowledge of the technological role of main raw materials used in the confectionery industry;
• Deep understanding of Quality and Food Safety management processes;
• Basic knowledge of food legislation;
• Good command of the English language;
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
