Postdoctoral Fellow in History – UNSW, School of Humanities & Languages. Two-year fixed-term contract, full-time (35 hrs/week). Location: UNSW Kensington Campus (Hybrid Working). Salary: $91,381 - $121,838 + 17% Super + Leave Loading.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake high-quality research and make an original contribution to History.
  • Contribute to the research culture of UNSW.
  • Create and publish high-quality peer‑reviewed scholarly outputs.
  • Organise, present and participate in conferences and workshops, including at least one public seminar or lecture in the School.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A PhD in History, awarded after 1 January 2021, or in the final stage of completion expected before 1 February 2026.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake high‑quality academic research with limited supervision.
  • A clearly defined research program.
  • Demonstrable potential to produce high‑quality publications and conference presentations.
