Electrical Project Engineer

Hitachi Energy is looking for a Project Engineer based in Lodi.

This role is responsible for electrical design assignments on projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

How you'll make an impact

1. Design electrical engineering solutions, including electrical drawings, LV cable routing, and calculations according to specifications. Develop electrical design of LCC in Eplan (or E3), customizing designs based on customer requirements and product needs. Contribute to design reviews, verification, and modify designs as necessary.
2. Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques for electrical engineering tasks. Provide technical support for LCC suppliers, testing, installation, and commissioning. Prepare project documentation within your scope.
3. Assist in preparing engineering project proposals, including bills of materials and estimated engineering hours.
4. Support Project Managers in issuing claims related to scope changes, cost impacts, and risks. Deliver quality solutions within budget and contract, ensuring safety standards and risk mitigation.
5. Create work plans and cost estimates, ensuring timely and quality deliverables. Collaborate with other functions to improve work effectiveness.
6. Complete risk and opportunity assessments, implement actions, and report issues with recommendations to management.
7. Interact with customers, suppliers, and internal staff on technical issues and communication related to assignments or meetings.
8. Coordinate with Supply Chain to communicate technical requirements and evaluate supplier proposals.
9. Ensure engineering activities comply with safety and contractual requirements. Report inefficiencies and suggest improvements.

Your background

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a Technical High School Diploma.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Italian.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Experience with Eplan / E3 / ECAD tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and SAP is a plus.
