Overview

As the Global Talent Acquisition (TA) Manager for Process Automation, you will serve as a strategic partner to sector HR and business leadership, driving talent acquisition excellence across the sector. You will lead a team of TA Advisors, manage senior-level recruitment, and ensure alignment with global TA strategies and KPIs. This role combines hands-on recruitment with strategic workforce planning, vendor management, and team leadership to deliver high impact hiring outcomes.

Location

The preference is for this role to be based in Milan, Italy, but can be fully remote within Italy if necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Business Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to sector HR and business leaders, aligning talent acquisition strategies with business objectives.
  • Establish a regular cadence of engagement with sector HR leadership to stay ahead of evolving talent needs and priorities.
  • Share market intelligence and hiring trends to inform decision-making and workforce planning.
  • Talent Acquisition Strategy & Execution: Lead and execute recruitment for senior leadership roles within the sector (approximately 50-75% of the role).
  • Recommend and implement tailored strategies for large-scale hiring initiatives, sector-specific projects, and proactive talent pipelining.
  • Cascade hiring plans and project requirements to TA Advisors, ensuring clarity and alignment.
  • Team Leadership & Performance Management: Manage the capacity and workload of TA Advisors, ensuring optimal efficiency across role volume, timelines, and functional alignment.
  • Monitor team performance against global KPIs, proactively addressing shortfalls and implementing solutions.
  • Coach and develop team members, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting individual career progression.
  • Identify and manage both high performance and underperformance to maintain team effectiveness and delivery.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Oversee vendor relationships for talent pipelines and sector-specific preferred supplier lists (PSLs).
  • Ensure vendors are aligned with IMI’s standards, timelines, and diversity and inclusion goals.
  • Data-Driven Talent and Workforce Planning: Leverage data and analytics to inform talent management, succession planning, and strategic workforce planning.
  • Provide insights that support broader people development initiatives across the sector.

  • Deep understanding of recruitment metrics, capacity modelling, workforce planning, and market intelligence
  • Experience with vendor management and building effective external partnerships
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms; experience with SuccessFactors is a plus
