Overview

Join to apply for the Senior Thermodynamic Engineer Chiller role at Vertiv in Piove di Sacco (PD) - Italy.

Responsibilities

  • Design the product features and take direct responsibility for the choice and sizing of the main components.
  • Analyze and check technical problems related to the products under responsibility.
  • Process and review the basic documentation for each product.
  • Select solutions and / or size the main components required for offering special products.
  • Evaluate usage of obsolete parts in SFA projects and seek alternative materials.
  • Quote SFAs working in strong cooperation with Procurement, Planning and Suppliers.
  • Calculate costs of designed solutions in cooperation with SFA manager.
  • Participate in final testing of new products and resolve SFA-related problems.
  • Select key components and manage marketing requests and teamwork.
  • Work in accordance with ITC regulations and ensure safety and quality norms within the competence area.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering with Thermo-Technical specialization.
  • At least 5 years of experience, ideally in the HVAC sector.
  • Excellent knowledge of thermodynamics and refrigeration principles.
  • Knowledge of refrigerant, hydraulic and mechanical components of chillers and understanding of air conditioning unit construction principles.
  • Knowledge of technical norms and ability to make decisions to solve problems.
  • Knowledge of management computer systems and technical drawings.
  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
