Electrical Engineer

Greenvolt Power Italy is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to contribute to the design and execution of our renewable energy projects. This role involves participating in the design, supervision, and construction of large-scale renewable energy initiatives, primarily focusing on solar PV, onshore wind, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

Key accountabilities

• Provide professional engineering advice and technical support for the design and construction of large-scale renewable energy projects, mainly solar PV, onshore wind, and BESS.
• Understand project design drawings and participate in discussions with designers and BOP Contractors.
• Collaborate in tendering processes (RFQ / RFP) regarding technical requirements and design.
• Support the definition, preparation, and control of documentation to ensure timely project construction.
• Coordinate with procurement to prepare technical documentation and scope for bidding processes.
• Schedule project steps to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective construction.
• Supervise and ensure compliance with permits during construction.
• Report project status, recommend solutions, and inform about potential risks to management.
• Manage payment approvals and documentation in line with project schedules.
• Coordinate internal information flow among teams such as Development, Accounting, Legal, Procurement, Tax, HSE & Quality.
• Monitor technical, schedule, H&S, and quality issues during construction.
• Engage with stakeholders during grid connection processes.
• Collaborate with EPC during construction, providing solutions for design issues.

Qualifications

• Engineering background, preferably Electrical Engineering.
• 5-6 years of experience in renewable energy projects, mainly PV and wind farm construction.
• Experience with components and equipment used in large-scale wind, solar PV, and high voltage infrastructure.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Project, MS Office, WindPro, Wasp, PVsyst.
• Willingness to travel across Italy for project sites.
• Knowledge of local grid connection regulations.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to interpret project design drawings and collaborate with designers and contractors.
• Good reporting and teamwork abilities.
