It specializes in the production of innovative, turn-key plants such as hot and cold rolling mills for flat products, process lines, reheating furnaces, heat treatment lines, rolling mills for long products, meltshops, and continuous casting machines.

Our Center of Excellence Electrics/Automation is seeking an Automation Engineer.

Responsibilities:

• Develop automation solutions, primarily focusing on software development for plant control.
• Take over programming of Lev1 software and perform associated tests, including functional commissioning at customer sites.
• Participate in and lead meetings with SMS internal teams, customers, and sub-suppliers.

Qualifications:

• Graduate or Bachelor/Master degree in Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Proven programming competence in PLC Automation-Systems (S7-TIA, S7-400), Rockwell, ControlLogix, Siemens TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT.
• Knowledge of platforms for HMI system development, such as Siemens SIMATIC WinCC.
• Analytical skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
