The Freshfields Brussels office is recruiting ambitious, qualified lawyers of all levels of seniority to join its market leading global antitrust practice. Our lawyers are involved in some of the world’s most complex but rewarding mandates, advising clients on competition, regulatory, and trade law issues, many of which are cross-border or global. You will contribute to the success of Freshfields’ global Antitrust, Competition and Trade (ACT) team through proactive involvement in business development and knowledge sharing.

Your profile

• Top-class academic qualifications, preferably including an LL.M. degree.
• Prior experience or strong interest in competition and trade law.
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in English; French is a plus.
• Team player, motivated, solution-oriented.
• Capable of managing responsibility and workload.
• Proactive and committed to client service.
• Willing to relocate to Brussels.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising clients on competition law and commercial issues.
• Drafting and negotiating transaction and contract documents.
• Drafting submissions to authorities and courts.
• Managing transactions and client relationships.
• Participating in business development and client events.
• Training and managing junior lawyers.
