Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare. MSF Italy is engaged in saving lives and alleviating suffering through fundraising, communication and advocacy, recruitment and deployment of field workers, and supporting international operations.

Reporting to the Multimedia Producer, the Digital Content and Multimedia Officer supports the creation of engaging visual and audiovisual content that amplifies the organization’s presence across digital channels. Working within the Digital Team, the officer contributes to all aspects of production while providing hands‑on support to meet the multimedia needs of departments across the organization. The role also assists in managing the Multimedia Room and contributes to a Community of Practice that promotes shared learning on content production.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical production support – set up and operate cameras, lighting and audio equipment in the Multimedia Room or on location; assist with filming interviews, training materials and internal content.
• Creative collaboration & innovation – suggest and implement creative formats and techniques; translate departmental messages into strong visual stories; contribute to brainstorming sessions and share lessons learned.
• Multimedia room operations & knowledge sharing – manage day‑to‑day bookings, set‑up and maintenance; support teams in using the space for filming, recording or digital content creation; provide on‑job guidance and share technical tips; contribute to knowledge materials and organize internal workshops.
• Contributor to MSF’s international movement – participate with international colleagues on the AV International platform; support operations related to digital multimedia content and tools; contribute to production and definition of international communication packages.
• Design, production and editing of multimedia products for digital channels – create webclips, social media stories, photo slideshows, interviews, infographics and podcasts.
• Producing videos and/or interviewing MSF Italy’s humanitarian workers, staff, volunteers and operations.
• Produces or edits animations, graphics, memes and infographics; keep graphic style contemporary and aligned with MSF guidelines.
• Support the Digital Team in generating high‑performing, platform‑optimised content; adapt AV content produced by the international team for web, press, engagement and digital FR uses.
• Management and maintenance of the content database for MSF Italy, including its indexing system.
• Innovation and evolution of MSF Italy’s graphic style, ensuring it remains contemporary and aligns with current design trends.
• Organising and/or supporting the production of webinars and livestreaming of events or debates, or direct from the ground.
• Manage file organisation and post‑production editing; maintain inventory and ensure functionality of all multimedia tools.

Key Requirements / Education

• Specific training in multimedia technologies or an educational background consistent with the position.

Experience

• At least 3 years professional experience in video shooting, graphics and editing.
• Professional experience in using Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator.

Position Details

• Contract: Temporary position for maternity replacement. Fixed‑term contract of 6 months. Full‑time, Level II of Italian CCNL of Commerce.
• Gross Annual Salary: €33,152 – max €40,208 depending on experience.
• Expected start date: 19/01/2026.
• Location: Hybrid – MSF Italy Rome office and from home.
