Midea Group is searching for a Senior Firmware Engineer to join our team on-site in our Padua / Feltre office.
You will be responsible for the overall structure and modular design of our product software. This includes analyzing and researching general modules to ensure efficient and scalable development.
You will act as a technical leader, coordinating software development for new HVAC products.
You will be responsible for researching and implementing modular design methods to improve the efficiency and maintainability of our software.
You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure software meets project requirements. Write clean, well‑documented, and maintainable code. Stay current with the latest software development tools and technologies relevant to the HVAC industry. Test and debug software to ensure functionality and performance.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5+ years of experience in software development. Strong proficiency in C language and other programming languages (C, assembly). In‑depth understanding of MCU architecture and programming. Experience with single‑chip microcomputers and ARM processors. Experience with software frameworks and modular design principles. Familiarity with various software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban, and experience with version control systems like Git. Experience in developing bootloaders for firmware update and upgrade processes, including secure boot mechanisms and over‑the‑air (OTA) firmware updates. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills. A passion for the HVAC industry and a desire to develop innovative solutions.
