Documentation Engineer Professional - Taranto at Vestas. Engineering, Full-Time.
Responsibilities
Creation and updating documentation to Shopfloor / Logistic teams (workers, quality and logistic teams) within Handling & Logistic operations.
Updated documentation is always available where needed.
Adhere to the documentation principles described.
Engage in gathering feedback from shop floors and logistic teams on the function and quality of the documentation delivered.
Perform internal quality checks of the documentation.
Perform internal maturity checks of the documentation against documented criteria.
Keep stakeholders up to date on documentation lead times.
Develop training material for reading / use of the documentation pack.
Collaborate closely with the documentation specialists from other documentation teams and share lessons learned.
Be part of building a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.
Focus on modern documentation systems and material, including process vision, laser systems and other digital enabling systems.
Investigate and solve production issues using structured methods such as 5x Why and Fishbone diagrams.
Apply continuous improvement principles using quality tools like Lean to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and ensure final product quality.
Education
Bachelor engineering or equivalent
GB lean
Courses within Technical writing or communication
Experience
About 6 years of experience in similar roles as described above
Worked with
Create process flow
Establish and maintain work instructions paper or digital
Validation of own work
Participate in development of Handling & Logistic documentation
Worked in a data driven organization
Optimization and standardization within manufacturing documentation with use of the toolbox
Important skills
Proficient writing and communication skills: Ability to simplify complex information
Technical skills: Particularly for Logistic documentation involving transportation and storage systems, production processes, or software systems; ability to translate technical jargon into user-friendly language
Attention to detail: Accuracy is critical in documentation that supports operations or compliance
Willingness to spend time in the factory environment to understand and solve problems
Data-Driven Decision Making
Use of tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams to identify and solve production issues
Self-motivated, result-oriented with strong organizational discipline
Ability to collaborate across a large organization, build networks across cultures and time zones, and work with stakeholders
Customer-oriented with understanding of the full business value chain from a customer perspective
