Overview

Documentation Engineer Professional - Taranto at Vestas. Engineering, Full-Time.

Responsibilities

  • Creation and updating documentation to Shopfloor / Logistic teams (workers, quality and logistic teams) within Handling & Logistic operations.
  • Updated documentation is always available where needed.
  • Adhere to the documentation principles described.
  • Engage in gathering feedback from shop floors and logistic teams on the function and quality of the documentation delivered.
  • Perform internal quality checks of the documentation.
  • Perform internal maturity checks of the documentation against documented criteria.
  • Keep stakeholders up to date on documentation lead times.
  • Develop training material for reading / use of the documentation pack.
  • Collaborate closely with the documentation specialists from other documentation teams and share lessons learned.
  • Be part of building a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.
  • Focus on modern documentation systems and material, including process vision, laser systems and other digital enabling systems.
  • Investigate and solve production issues using structured methods such as 5x Why and Fishbone diagrams.
  • Apply continuous improvement principles using quality tools like Lean to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and ensure final product quality.

Education

  • Bachelor engineering or equivalent
  • GB lean
  • Courses within Technical writing or communication

Experience

  • About 6 years of experience in similar roles as described above

Worked with

  • Create process flow
  • Establish and maintain work instructions paper or digital
  • Validation of own work
  • Participate in development of Handling & Logistic documentation
  • Worked in a data driven organization
  • Optimization and standardization within manufacturing documentation with use of the toolbox

Important skills

  • Proficient writing and communication skills: Ability to simplify complex information
  • Technical skills: Particularly for Logistic documentation involving transportation and storage systems, production processes, or software systems; ability to translate technical jargon into user-friendly language
  • Attention to detail: Accuracy is critical in documentation that supports operations or compliance
  • Willingness to spend time in the factory environment to understand and solve problems
  • Data-Driven Decision Making
  • Use of tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams to identify and solve production issues
  • Self-motivated, result-oriented with strong organizational discipline
  • Ability to collaborate across a large organization, build networks across cultures and time zones, and work with stakeholders
  • Customer-oriented with understanding of the full business value chain from a customer perspective
