For our own projects, we are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join for an oil & gas project in Corleto Perticara (PZ), Italy.
Mission
The selected candidate will be responsible for defining, implementing, and optimizing maintenance strategies for mechanical equipment at the Tempa Rossa Oil Centre. The role ensures reliability, availability, and cost efficiency of rotating and static equipment through proactive maintenance planning, audits, and supervision of contractors.
Tasks
- Define and implement maintenance policies for mechanical equipment, introducing new strategies when necessary.
- Contribute to reliability studies and define preventive and corrective maintenance schedules in line with company strategy.
- Supervise execution of maintenance programs in coordination with site personnel and organize mechanical audits based on yearly objectives.
- Develop and validate maintenance procedures and work instructions for both routine and major mechanical interventions.
- Contribute to shutdown preparation, defining job scopes and coordinating with other departments to achieve operational targets.
- Analyze equipment performance parameters to identify early failures and recommend corrective actions to prevent breakdowns.
- Monitor condition‑based maintenance activities and optimize maintenance practices based on performance data.
- Support equipment selection and maintenance engineering for revamp and minor project scopes.
- Manage spare parts inventory, addressing obsolescence and ensuring cost-effective stock control.
- Supervise third‑party contractors, ensuring the adequacy of resources, compliance with standards, and proper execution of outsourced services.
- Participate in anomaly reporting, root cause analyses, and ensure timely closure of corrective action plans.
- Contribute to the preparation of annual maintenance budgets, controlling costs for interventions and overhauls.
- Provide technical support for advanced diagnostics and emergency interventions on critical equipment.
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies and promote continuous improvement of maintenance performance.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in maintenance engineering within the oil & gas industry.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to technical and financial optimization.
- Proactive, independent, and collaborative approach with strong communication and reporting abilities.
- Fluent in Italian and English (both written and spoken).

Working Hours: 8 hours/day, Monday to Friday
Contract Duration: 12 months
Starting Date: September/October 2025
