Key Objectives as Team Leader

To play a key role in establishing and shaping the Italian Industrial Design team, with the goal of strengthening Cooler Master’s global creative capabilities. This position will contribute to the full product development cycle: from early concept ideation to execution by infusing Italian design culture and sensibility into the brand.

The role supports global design initiatives, provide input across product, brand and campaign development and ensures alignment with Taipei HQ.

It is also expected to foster collaboration across teams, bringing storytelling into product design, and help define new workflows and creative standards that elevate Cooler Master’s design reputation worldwide.

Role & Responsibilities

As the leader of the Italian Industrial Design Team, your primary responsibility is to establish and lead a high-impact design function that enhances Cooler Master’s global creative capabilities. This role goes beyond execution: it depends on vision, initiative and collaboration across cultural and functional boundaries.

• Team Leadership & Development:
• Lead and mentor a small team of industrial designers, fostering creativity, quality, accountability and alignment with Cooler Master’s global design goals.
• CMF Direction & Innovation:
• Drive the definition and execution of the color, material and finish strategies that elevate product identity and reflect future trends in design and lifestyle.
• Strategic Design Framing:
• Translate brand values and product narratives into compelling CMF directions that connect emotionally with users and enhance product storytelling and user experience.
• Global Collaborations:
• Partner with Taipei HQ on project briefs, deliverables and design milestones. Ensure consistency and transparency across teams.
• Design Communication and Execution:
• Oversee the development of physical and digital mockups, concept decks, and visual presentations. Ensure delivery of high-quality design assets that clearly communicate intent.
• Design Advocacy & Integration:
• Act as a design ambassador within cross-functional teams (Product Marketing, Business Units, Regions) ensuring CMF proposals are understood, supported, and integrated into broader go-to-market efforts.

Operational Experience/Academic Qualification

• Education:
• Bachelor’s or master’s in industrial design or related field.
• Experience:
• 7+ years of experience in industrial design, with strong focus on CMF and product storytelling.
• Experience in leading design initiatives and mentoring teams.
• Design tool proficiency:
• Skilled in SolidWorks, Creo, KeyShot, Adobe Creative Suit. Familiar with Fusion 360 or Alias is a plus.
• Trend & Market Insight:
• Proven ability to identify design trends, emerging materials and market shifts.
• Ability to translate insights into strategic CMF direction.
• Strategic Collaboration:
• Strong cross-functional mindset.
• Able to communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to drive innovation.
• Language:
• Fluent in English.
• Chinese language is a plus.

• The role is expected to be based in Italy, ideally within reach of Milan, which remains our regional reference point for design collaborations. The position will initially operate in a remote work setup, with occasional travel within Italy, Europe and to Taipei HQ as needed.
