The Electronics product area develops and delivers Automotive Grade Electronics solutions to address the requirements of today’s connected and tomorrow’s automated car.

About The Position

We are looking for a Equipment & Automation Technology Coordinator to join the PLM and Manufacturing Engineering team, reporting directly to the Advanced Technologies & Equipment Manager. This position is based at our office in Corbetta (MI), Italy.

Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • Develop improvements to enhance equipment and tools reliability, focusing on assembly lines re‑usage in different plants worldwide.
  • Be the reference between Plant and Product Development to develop specifications for next generation products for assembly lines equipment.
  • Work with Specialists to design and develop new equipment and tools.
  • Act as primary contact for the performance‑related questions and concerns, monitoring the performance and suggest improvements.
  • Maintain documentations for new installations, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures for reference purposes.
  • Provide support for troubleshooting.
  • Test and approve new core equipment and tools before handing off to production.
  • Develop cost‑reduction initiatives while still maintaining the quality and productivity requested.
  • Provide job assistance and conduct job trainings for employees in the plants as needed.
  • Provide technical assistance in installation and maintenance.

What Qualifications You Will Bring

  • Engineering degree
  • More than 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Advanced written and spoken English
  • Knowledge on assembly and automation processes, fundamental on material engineering
  • Strong understanding of production processes
  • Good knowledge of automatic and semi‑automatic systems, PLC, both optical and sensor detection systems
  • Knowledge of traceability systems between the different phases of the process
  • Excellent analysis capacity for assembly benches
  • Knowledge on maximum application flexibility design.

Other Skills That We Would Welcome

  • Knowledge of resin and glue dispensing systems
  • Industrial KPI’s (OEE, CT, FTQ) knowledge
  • Knowledge of FMEA / PFMEA
