About the Role
Galeries Bartoux is seeking Art Sales Consultants (M / F) for their new place in Venice, Italy. This incredible Art Adventure in a large space mixing an Art Gallery and immersive exposition area in the heart of Venice. We are offering an initial fixed-term contract between 6 and 8 months, with the possibility of moving to a permanent position. Reporting to the Gallery Manager, your missions, if you accept them, will be as follows:
Responsibilities:
- Welcome clients, provide accurate and clear information with a high-quality level of service
- Conduct sales performance
- Offer an exceptional, luxurious sales experience and art advice to our public and customers
- Provide excellent service by following up with each client on delivery steps, administrative tasks, and feedback on their gallery experience
- Achieve sales targets
- Be comfortable selling high-value art pieces and negotiations
- Manage customer relationships by building strong relationships
- Provide commercial and administrative support
- Support the gallery's internal organization – light art handling may be required
- Actively participate in event planning in collaboration with the Marketing department
- Support the daily maintenance of the Gallery
- Educational onboarding with mentoring, training on Contemporary Art and sales techniques specific to Galeries Bartoux
- Benefit from opportunities for professional development, including internal mobility to visit international galleries based on ambition and performance
Qualifications:
- Graduated from a business school or a BTS (Higher National Diploma in Sales or Art World) with at least 5 years of sales experience in a luxury environment, retail, or the art industry
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Team player
- A sense of challenge, proactive and dynamic to impact the gallery's performance
- Knowledge of the Art market and the luxury sector
- Excellent presentation
- Motivated, rigorous, positive, and responsible
- Versatile, with excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Desire to work and invest within a team and company with strong growth potential
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Basic computer skills
- Fluency in Italian and English are mandatory
- Knowledge of French or another foreign language is highly valued
- Strong sales skills and personality are prioritized to cultivate a passionate and responsible team with a love of Art
