Job Summary

Head Teller (Waipahu Branch) – First Hawaiian Bank.

We are looking for a customer‑focused Head Teller to join our Waipahu branch. The role involves providing stellar customer service, processing transactions, promoting bank products, and supervising Branch Tellers.

Compensation

Pay range: $19.00–$22.50 per hour, commensurate with experience, plus sales incentives.

Work Schedule

Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (hours may vary). Saturday 9:00 AM–1:00 PM on a rotation basis.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year as an FHB Senior Teller; or
• 2 years as an FHB Teller with cross‑training for supervisory duties; or
• 1 year as a Teller (or equivalent) at another financial institution with at least 2 years of supervisory and cashiering experience.
• Knowledge of retail, mortgage/loans/deposits, and wholesale banking preferred.
• Excellent customer interaction skills.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication.
• Attention to detail and discretion with confidential information.
• Basic math skills and ability to balance cash.
• Sales skills to drive business development.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with branch operations concepts, procedures, and practices.
• Demonstrated team‑leadership ability.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to resolve complex staff and customer issues.
• Exercise sound judgment.
