About Locus
Locus is the social network for ideas — a place where anyone can share what’s in their mind, from small improvements for their neighborhood to world-changing projects, and connect with others who want to make them real.
We’re building the home for dreamers, innovators, and makers.
The MVP is already in development. Now, we’re looking for a co‑founder engineer ready to help us boost the product toward launch in January 2026 — someone who believes in the mission and wants to own a real piece of it.
What You’ll Do
- Work alongside our current developer and founder to build, refine, and ship the MVP (React, Django, Node.js).
- Develop key features: posts, join system, chat, notifications, user onboarding.
- Improve performance, scalability, and UX.
- Contribute to product and technical decisions — not just code, but vision.
- Help shape the culture and direction of Locus as part of the founding team.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience with React + Node.js, and Django.
- A builder mindset — fast, creative, autonomous, pragmatic.
- Curiosity for social platforms, design systems, and product thinking.
- Comfort working in an early‑stage, high‑ownership environment.
- Fluent in English (Italian is a plus).
What We Offer
- Equal equity share with the existing founders.
- A chance to build a global‑scale platform from zero.
- Full creative freedom and technical ownership.
- Flexible hybrid/remote collaboration.
- Visibility as Founding Engineer of a mission‑driven product.
Timeline
We’re preparing the public launch for January 2026.
Now is the moment to join and shape the core of what Locus will become.
How to Apply
Send us a short note about why you want to build something that matters — plus your GitHub, portfolio, or a project you’re proud of.
No formalities. Just energy, curiosity, and code.
