BIM Specialist – Strutture (Civil Engineering)

Location: Genoa, Lecce or Naples – Italy

Job type: Full‑time, Mid‑Senior level

Mission: The role focuses on implementing and coordinating BIM processes throughout the entire lifecycle of construction projects. It contributes to the efficient and accurate execution of projects.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop and manage detailed 3D BIM models for structural works using Tekla Structures and Autodesk Revit.
• Coordinate and integrate structural models with other disciplines (architecture, MEP) to ensure consistency and quality.
• Perform advanced modeling, clash detection, and model validation. Integrate 4D (time) and 5D (cost) aspects into BIM models to support project scheduling, budgeting, and construction simulations.
• Process and manage point clouds, converting them into accurate BIM models for as‑built and renovation projects.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, quantity take‑offs, and support project reporting.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other BIM specialists.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
• Stay updated on BIM standards, technologies, and best practices.

Education

Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture

Qualifications

• Prooven experience in BIM roles focused on structural projects (3‑5 years at least)
• Advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures and Autodesk Revit
• Experience with other BIM software will be considered as a plus
• Experience with 4D (time) and 5D (cost) BIM integration is highly valued
• Proven ability to process and use point clouds within BIM workflows
• Strong knowledge of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650, UNI 11337)
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and manage complex deadlines
• Good level of English (both spoken and written)
