Activity & Main Responsibilities

The HSE Manager is appointed for major projects and in case of Consortium or ATI. He reports to the Site Manager and is responsible for:

  • Supporting and monitoring the implementation of Tecnimont HSE Policy and HSE Management System at the site.
  • Performing Job Hazardous Analysis (JHA) and participating in Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
  • Verifying the adequacy and application of the Site HSE Plan and related procedures, and preparing revisions as necessary.
  • Updating HSE documentation throughout all construction phases.
  • Ensuring subcontractors comply with all applicable HSE procedures, regulations, and standards, and promoting actions to ensure compliance.
  • Organizing, planning, and participating in periodic HSE walks, inspections, and audits; preparing reports and action plans; verifying follow-up and corrective actions.
  • Organizing and coordinating HSE training activities on site.
  • Participating in all relevant site HSE meetings.
  • Cooperating with the client regarding work permits.
  • Investigating work accidents to identify corrective measures and prevent recurrence.
  • Maintaining accident records and identifying areas for prevention.
  • Promoting personnel indoctrination and training.
  • Leading and coordinating the Site HSE Committee activities.
  • Leading and coordinating the site emergency response and fire prevention teams, including training and drills.
  • Preparing HSE sections of construction progress reports and other periodic reports.
  • Updating HSE statistics, monitoring performance against project and corporate HSE objectives, targets, and indicators, and proposing recovery plans if needed.

Knowledge & Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess:

  • An undergraduate degree in Construction Management or a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in construction, particularly in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industries involving heavy construction sites with mechanical, electrical, and piping installations.
  • Knowledge of OSHA construction regulations and lockout requirements.
  • A client-focused approach.
