Overview

Technical Support Expert - Labelling (W/M/D). Permanent contract. Location: Mantova, Italy. The role is part of the Product Support Back Office Team and reports to the Q&TS Manager. The main function is to secure the operational follow up and technical support of all Labellers and associated mechanical trade equipment. The expert may also validate internally and externally the introduction of modifications and variants of new products in the portfolio.

Your Mission: join the Product Support Back Office Team in Mantova to support the operational follow-up and technical excellence of all Labellers (SSC and stand-alone configurations) and their associated mechanical trade equipment. Ensure technical support and follow-up to maintain high performance and reliability across the installed base.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical support for all Labellers and their mechanical trade equipment
  • Secure ongoing operational follow-up across the full product scope
  • Support the validation of modifications and product variants, both internally and externally, for new additions to the Labelling product portfolio
  • Coordinate with other relevant teams to ensure smooth and aligned product updates
  • Take ownership of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) following issue resolution
  • Drive and support recovery plans and corrective actions, working in close interaction with other departments

Your Profile

  • Level of education and languages: Degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or Technical professional qualification
  • Language requirements: Fluency in English is a must; French and Spanish are a plus; good level of Italian is advantageous for local integration
  • Experience and skills: At least 5 years of technical assistance, field experience, or engineering on Labellers products
  • Experience in assembly and testing of complex machinery or field/service activities is advantageous
  • Rollfed knowledge is required; Cold Glue, Adhesive/PSL and Hot Melt knowledge are a plus
  • Rigorous, dynamic, organized, proactive, and able to work autonomously
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%
  • SAP knowledge is a plus
  • Knowledge of Sidel Labellers products (SSC / standalone) and process is a plus
  • Excellent reporting capability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; problem solving, troubleshooting, and RCA oriented
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with technicians, customers, and other target groups
