Overview

The Director of IT is responsible for ensuring compliance of the Information Technology and Audio Visual systems within the hotel. This includes adherence to Payment Card Industry (PCI) regulations, local data laws, network security standards, end-of-life management, project oversight, budget planning, compliance with MOHG Product Standards and Guidelines, and audit requirements.

The Director acts as the primary technical liaison between hotel operations and the corporate functions of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.

This role is generally separate from the hotel’s IT support team and is expected to be available on weekdays for escalation, colleague engagement, and critical corporate IT tasks.

Executive Summary

Includes budgeting, project management, risk mitigation, lifecycle management, cybersecurity, PCI compliance, strategic alignment, and audit compliance.

General IT Management

• Managing business requests, strategy, and relationships
• Driving innovation and local solutions
• Participating in executive and operations meetings
• Engaging in corporate IT meetings
• Overseeing IT preventative maintenance programs

IT Support

• Managing routine IT tasks (list of 38 tasks)

IT Team Management

• Resource management for the IT department
• Talent development
• IT team onboarding and orientation

Project Management

• Leading major projects

Cybersecurity and Compliance

• Cybersecurity oversight
• Audit and compliance management
• Cyber risk management
• Local regulation adherence
• Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and drills
• Security control enforcement

Network Management

• Basic network and Wi-Fi configuration
• Configuration review and updates
