Business Development Manager (South Italy)

Responsibilities

In coordination with the local and international Sales, Business Development and Marketing organizations, key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

• To form close relationships with end users, consultants and specifiers in the Video Security Channel to promote the Hanwha brand, and to increase sales and demand for Hanwha security products.
• To achieve set objectives relating to all relevant sales and product quantity mix. This will involve the strategic and active analysis of market opportunities, as well as the ability to influence decision makers and ensuring sales growth.
• Strategic planning - Both short and medium term sales planning will be required on a regular basis following sales workshops, and liaising with the Hanwha Product Management team to share market information. This is to ensure the correct positioning of Hanwha products in the market. Recommendations on marketing plans and new / revised strategic direction will be discussed with the Country Manager.
• Properly manage and develop network of partners (integrators and installers) part of Hanwha channel partner programme (STEP Programme), with responsibility on sales revenue generated through assigned Partners
• Support activity of Strategic Sales Managers for opportunities identified in the assigned region within defined Strategic Vertical Markets
• Areas of responsibility will include the following (but not limited to): End user consultations; Consultants and specifiers; Liaising with major System integrators at senior level; Ensure actual customer based are kept update with product information; Increase project pipeline and revenue with existing active customers; Create a project pipeline with new customers; Report on weekly basis on sales and project progress; Existing customer audit analysis; Product and market segmentation, positioning and targeting; Input of ideas towards marketing plans for new product launches and customer events; Focus on product / channel / customer margin; Accuracy of forecasting; Achievement of all budgets and targets

Requirements

• A proven track record in a business development or sales role, achieving sales in a demanding environment.
• Extensive experience of CCTV and associated technologies, or similar market segment, in particular presenting relevant solutions to end users and consultants / specifiers
• Capability to work independently in understanding customer needs, defining solutions and creating professional commercial proposals to customers (system integrators, end-user)
• Must have a knowledge of the market, main channels and potential customers within the electronic security market, IT & Networking.
• Previous experience working for a CCTV manufacturer would be beneficial, but not essential.
• Good understanding of new technologies, especially network video systems and their topology.
• Business or Technical Degree Level Education would be advantageous
• PC Literate - Intermediate & Advanced ‘Microsoft Office’ skills to include Excel

• Ability to develop strong and lasting relationships with both internal company Directors / colleagues and key clients

Location

This is a field based role, but the jobholder will ideally live in the Milan area or in the South region. This role will involve extensive travel within Italy on a regular basis, specifically in the assigned area in South Italy, and travel outside of Italy may be required from time to time.
