2025 sees MoneyGram Haas F1 Team celebrate its tenth season in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship. The first American Formula 1 team to compete in the sport since 1986, MoneyGram Haas F1 Team has shown rapid growth and a clear direction for the future.

General Summary

This position reports to the Design Team Leader or their designee and is located in Maranello, Italy. The role is responsible for the design of F1 chassis‑related components and mechanical assemblies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote teamwork and effective communication to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
  • Design F1 chassis‑related components and mechanical assemblies.
  • Study and design components through solid modelling, surface modeling and 2D drawing with the aim of obtaining high‑performance, reliable solutions and optimized sizing.
  • Work on structures, suspensions, wheels, hydraulic, fuel and cooling systems, and equipment for car homologation and track‑side management (e.g., legality checks, pit‑stop equipment).
  • Manage the ‘design mock‑up activity’ in the design office.
  • Follow all safety regulations in all venues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Design Team Leader or their designee.

Education and Work Experience

GCSE, high school diploma or equivalent required. A mechanical engineering degree is preferred. Minimum of 6 years of work experience, with at least 3 of those years in a professional motorsports environment or F1 company.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills

Equipment and Applications

  • Solid computer knowledge (CATIA preferred), with experience in Microsoft Office products and ERP systems.
  • Mechanical aptitude, including composite knowledge.
  • Ability to follow complex regulations related to shipment of materials and facility maintenance requirements.

Work Environment Physical Demands

The role may require occasional domestic and international travel, long hours, and flexible availability including weekends. Lifting up to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting, and manual dexterity are expected. The work environment is fast‑paced, involves heavy mental demands, and includes exposure to machinery, race cars, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids. All employees must comply with the Company Health and Safety Policy and relevant health and safety legislation.

Due to the nature of the organization, all employees of MoneyGram Haas F1 Team are required to be security‑cleared to National Security Vetting standards. Successful candidates will be supported through the NSV process, which typically requires a UK residency of the last 5 consecutive years. If you have not been a UK resident for the last five years, you may be required to provide an overseas criminal records check.
