Bioinformatico

Overview

The Bioinformatics Core is looking for bioinformaticians with documented research experience, a genuine passion for science, and a desire to apply their expertise and talent towards solving key biological questions. We seek PhD or MSc graduates in Computational Biology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Statistics — or candidates with equivalent educational backgrounds. Qualified biomedical scientists with prior expertise in data analysis are also welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc graduates in Computational Biology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or equivalent educational backgrounds.
• Qualified biomedical scientists with prior expertise in data analysis are also welcome to apply.

Requirements

• Proficiency in R and Python programming.
• Experience in transcriptome, epigenome, and/or genomics data analysis.
• Experience with single-cell transcriptomics and spatial gene expression will be considered strong pluses.
• Contract type and duration will be defined based on the candidate’s experience and profile.

Environment

The selected applicant will conduct their research within the SR-Tiget Bioinformatics Core and the Center for Omics Sciences (COSR) at the San Raffaele Scientific Institute, which hosts one of the country’s largest communities of bioinformaticians, providing an exceptional environment for scientific growth and collaboration.
