The Company


We are Tecnimont SpA, an EPC contractor of Maire Tecnimont Group, an industrial leader in Engineering & Construction, Technology & Licensing, and Energy Business Development and Ventures. Listed on the Milan Stock Exchange, the Group is among the global top-ranking engineering contractors.


The candidate will have to deal with internal and external stakeholders for the management of the international (and Italian when needed) payroll activities being also one of the points of contact for foreign HR and payroll department of the other foreign companies of the group.


This role will work closely with the various departments and in particular with HR, Finance and IT functions.


Job Description


Serve as member of the International Payroll and Tax team under the Expats management function (HR) working closely with the team to effectively manage the global payroll activities


Work closely with the external global payroll provider to design, build, test and deploy the global payroll platform


Being one of the main of points of contact for foreign colleagues in charge of HR and payroll activities with particular focus on expatriates and in relation to daily payroll and tax activities and processes


Monitoring global payroll issues and dealing with the foreign payroll colleagues and external provider to solve them


Ensuring that head quarter global payroll policy, instructions and roadmap for payroll administration is fully respected by the other countries of the group


Serve as a trusted payroll advisor for employees and other foreign HR colleagues


Serve as a trusted advisor to correctly manage the Italian payroll for outbound and inbound employees in international assignment


Giving support in potential issue related to Italian payroll activities


Being able to run Italian gross to net and net to gross calculations


Reviewing of Italian and foreign payslips when required ensuring payroll compliance


Ensuring payroll alignment and compliance between Italian and foreign payslips for expatriates in international assignment


Managing purchase requisition / orders by dealing with external vendor, procurement and finance department


Supporting foreign inbound exptriates with payroll-related onboarding activities


The appropriate candidate has



  • 4+ years of experience in dealing with international payroll and / or global payroll platforms in a large, complex and rapidly changing organizations with focus on expatriates

  • Excellent knowledge of written and verbal English language

  • Experience in managing payroll for employees and expatriates in different countries i.e. outbound, inbound and employees moving among foreign countries

  • Knowledge of global payroll administration, processes, and best practices

  • Experience in working with external payroll vendors

  • Knowledge of the management of both shares and cash incentive plan under a payroll perspective

  • Base knowledge of SAP, SAP Success Factor, SAP Time

  • Base knowledge of the payroll engine Zucchetti

  • Base knowledge of the Tax equalization and net guaranteed policies

  • Base knowledge in international tax and social security

  • Base knowledge of Italian tax special regimes for inbounds

  • Excellent approach to problem analysis and resolution

  • Strong communication skills and ability to deal autonomously with internal and external stakeholders
