We are supporting a leading multinational company in the engineering, energy, oil & gas, and infrastructure sectors in the search for a Project Manager for a major temporary building project in Afungi, Mozambique.

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of the project - from engineering to commissioning - ensuring alignment with contractual, technical, and safety standards. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with the client and subcontractors, and ensure that quality, cost, and schedule objectives are met.

Your Role

  • Plan, organize, and control all phases of project execution, ensuring compliance with contractual and technical specifications.
  • Lead and supervise engineering, procurement, and construction activities to achieve project milestones.
  • Monitor project performance and progress, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions when needed.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors and suppliers on-site.
  • Ensure full compliance with HSE standards and company policies across all activities.
  • Prepare and present project progress reports to top management and the client.
  • Represent the company in meetings with clients, authorities, and stakeholders.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, quality, and continuous improvement.

Your Profile

  • Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • 8–10 years of experience in project management within civil, industrial, or oil & gas construction projects.
  • Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, HSE standards, and contract management.
  • Proficiency in project management and planning tools (Primavera, MS Project, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Fluent in English (Portuguese is an advantage).

Project & Conditions

Project: Temporary Building Construction

Work Schedule: 26 days/month (1 day off per week)

Rotation: 60 days on‑site / 15 days leave
