MILAN - MIDDLE OFFICER - DEBT CAPITAL MARKETS

Overview

To support its development, AFS is creating a position at its Milan office for a Middle Officer Debt Capital Markets to accelerate its growth in Italy. The Middle Officer plays a critical role in supporting the execution and post-trade lifecycle of debt issuance transactions, including EURO PP, bonds, syndicated loans, and structured credit products. The position requires strong coordination with external infrastructures such as Euronext Securities Milan (Monte Titoli) to ensure seamless settlement and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Reporting directly to the country\'s Manager, after a familiarization phase with the specificities of the Company\'s offers, support execution of new debt issuances, ensuring accurate trade capture and documentation.
• Coordinate with Monte Titoli for settlement of cross-border securities.
• Manage pre-matching and settlement instructions via Monte Titoli platforms (MT-X).
• Serve as a point of contact for lawyers, investors, issuers, custodians, and Monte Titoli.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and operational standards throughout the transaction lifecycle.

Your profile

• 2–5 years of experience in a middle office or operations role within capital markets.
• Strong understanding of debt instruments and post-trade infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Monte Titoli systems (MT-X, X-TRM, T2S) highly desirable.
• Fluency in both English and Italian, written and spoken.
• Detail-oriented with excellent coordination and communication skills.

Optional Qualifications

• Knowledge of French (spoken and written).
• Familiarity with other clearing and settlement systems such as Euroclear and Clearstream.
• Experience with SACE-covered transactions.
