Under the supervision of senior Radiation Therapists, Radiation Oncologists, and Medical Physicists, you will be responsible for administering accurate, compassionate, and safe radiation treatments using advanced linear accelerator technology.You will play a hands-on role in both simulation and treatment processes, supporting patients through all stages of their care. Your clinical precision and empathy will help ensure each patient receives individualized, effective treatment in accordance with their physician’s prescription.**Key Responsibilities*** Administer ionizing radiation to patients according to physician prescriptions and treatment plans.* Perform CT simulations and daily treatment setups with precision and care.* Assist with clinical and emergency simulations and pre-treatment procedures.* Collaborate closely with physicians, physicists, dosimetrists, and other care team members.* Monitor and assess patients' condition and treatment response.* Maintain accurate documentation and uphold all safety and quality standards.* Demonstrate a strong understanding of the unique care needs for patients across all age groups.**Qualifications*** Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.* Registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.* Must obtain licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA) upon ARRT certification.* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or American Red Cross required.**Radiation Equipment:*** iX* Onboard CBCT* GE Optima CT Scanner* Aria* Epic* Vision RTMUSC Hollings Cancer Center is a nationally recognized leader in cancer care and research.
