Legal and Compliance Officer (Remote)

💼 The opportunity:

We are currently seeking a Legal and Compliance Officer to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that the company operates in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

💰 Salary:

32K – 36K

💻 Responsibilities:

• Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of an effective compliance programme to prevent and detect violations of legal and regulatory requirements;
• Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations that may affect the business;
• Provide support to internal departments by delivering in-depth analyses and legal advice;
• Develop and enforce policies and procedures to promote compliance throughout the organisation;
• Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance-related matters;
• Conduct internal audits and investigations to monitor and assess compliance levels;
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that compliance requirements are fully integrated into business processes and practices.

🛠️ Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, or a related field;
• Proven experience in a compliance role;
• In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards;
• An aptitude for understanding Information & Communication Technology–related processes and risks will be considered a plus;
• Previous experience with management systems (ISO standards) will be considered a plus;
• Good command of written and spoken English;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information;
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
