Sourcing Engineer - Indian Market

Overview

We are looking for a Sourcing Engineer to join our Purchasing team at our Headquarters in Orsenigo (CO), in a key role focused on suppliers in India.

We are seeking a determined, independent, and reliable person, able to work in complex international environments and to build strong relationships with strategic suppliers.

The ideal candidate will have a technical background and be able to combine scouting, quality, and negotiation skills.

As a Sourcing Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying and evaluating partners in India, ensuring alignment with Eldor standards and contributing to the company’s global sourcing strategies. The role involves frequent travel to India and possible relocation.

Responsibilities

• Identifying potential suppliers in the Indian market, assessing their positioning and technical capabilities;
• Conducting qualitative supplier evaluations through document analysis and targeted audits;
• Managing commercial negotiations and defining contracts and economic conditions;
• Collaborating with R&D, Quality, and Purchasing to ensure compliance with Eldor’s technical and quality standards;
• Monitoring supplier performance and supporting the implementation of corrective actions and improvements;
• Managing sourcing projects, with careful monitoring of risks, costs, and supply timelines;
• Contributing to the development of the international sourcing strategy by sharing market analyses and technical insights.

Qualifications

• You have a technical background : ideally a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Management, Electronic, or similar) or equivalent experience;
• You have several years of experience in Purchasing, Sourcing, Supply Chain, or technical roles related to automotive components;
• You speak fluent Hindi and English;
• You have good knowledge of the Indian market and are available for frequent travel and potential relocation;
• You can negotiate in international contexts and are familiar with suppliers in the automotive sector;
• You are autonomous, determined, and have a strong ethical approach;
• You are proactive, results-oriented, and constantly seeking effective solutions;
• You know how to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with technical and cross‑functional teams.
