CANDIDATE PROFILE
We are seeking a talented and hands‑on Progettista Dispositivi Medici with strong R&D and injection molding experience to join us as the first technical hire in our team. This role offers high visibility, autonomy, and substantial opportunities for personal and professional growth in a dynamic startup environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the design and development of components for injection-molded medical devices (e.g., syringes, vials, delivery systems).
- Create and manage 2D / 3D CAD models using SolidWorks.
- Collaborate with commercial and technical teams to transform concepts into functional prototypes.
- Develop test methods and support equipment design for product validation.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with applicable medical device standards.
- Document product specifications and contribute to design verification / validation activities.
- Support the patent filing process; while the company retains ownership, your contribution will be formally acknowledged.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Experience: 5 to 7 years in mechanical design, preferably in plastics, pharma, medical devices, or food sectors.
- Deep understanding of injection molding processes.
- Strong SolidWorks skills (2D and 3D modeling).
- Knowledge of materials and tolerances in plastic part design.
- Inventive and creative mindset.
- Comfortable being the technical point of contact in a growing company.
- Languages: Fluent in English and Italian.
