SAP Data Migration Consultant

Freelance Opportunity: Italian‑speaking SAP Data Migration Lead

Remote + onsite in Milan (every 2–3 weeks, Tuesday to Thursday). Start ASAP. 6‑month contract + extensions.

Role Overview

As the SAP Data Migration Lead, you will define, manage, and deliver the full data migration lifecycle for a large‑scale SAP implementation. You will work closely with business and technical teams to ensure accurate, secure, and seamless data transition into the new SAP environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Define scope, timelines, and deliverables for all data migration activities.
• Develop and lead the end‑to‑end SAP data migration strategy.
• Collaborate with business analysts and functional consultants to capture and validate data requirements.
• Oversee data cleansing, validation, enrichment, and reconciliation processes.
• Coordinate manual and automated data loads using tools such as LSMW, LTMC, SAP Migration Cockpit, ALE, and SAP BODS.
• Troubleshoot data migration issues and ensure smooth execution.
• Minimise disruption to business operations during cutover and migration phases.

Required Skills & Experience

• Fluent or strong spoken Italian is essential.
• Knowledge of SAP modules such as FI, CO, SD, MM, PS is an advantage.
• Hands‑on experience with ETL tools including SAP BODS, LSMW, and Migration Cockpit.
• Proven experience working with large datasets and complex data structures.
• Solid background in SAP Data Migration and Cutover Activities.
• Experience in full life cycle SAP implementations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with data governance and master data management principles.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and work across time zones.

Flexibility

Flexibility to travel for onsite work in Milan as required.
