Role Summary
The Programme Coordinator supports the implementation of NATO 2030 initiative at Allied Joint Force Command Naples. The coordinator acts as the single entry point for all NATO 2030 projects, manages resources across the three NATO Resource Pillars (NSIP, Military Budget, Workforce), and liaises with internal and external stakeholders. The role feeds strategic direction into operational planning and ensures that JFCNP staff and leadership are advised on resource implications, risk management, and inter‑dependency of initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise JFCNP on all matters related to NATO 2030 projects impacting functional areas, resources, requirements and capabilities.
- Ensure coordination and integration of JFCNP positions on connected NATO 2030 resources across the three pillars (NSIP, Military Budget, Workforce).
- Maintain continuous executive level correspondence with SHAPE and other ACO HQs on NATO 2030 topics.
- Act as primary advisor to JFCNP staff and leadership for development, implementation and follow‑up of NATO 2030 initiatives.
- Provide cross‑functional advice on resource implications of new initiatives, operations and missions, considering inter‑dependencies between resource pillars and ongoing tasks.
- Review and provide inputs to documentation on resource requirements, maintain databases, prepare reports and manage web‑page content.
- Track higher‑level tasking, monitor and manage multiple work strands, milestones, and supporting tasks in line with strategic and operational direction.
- Plan and oversee all NATO 2030 projects within JFCNP, liaising internally with requirement owners, DCOS Support staff, J8, and externally with SHAPE and other HQs.
- Ensure the identification, planning, and monitoring of risks and opportunities related to NATO 2030 requirements.
Essential Qualifications
- University degree in engineering disciplines (or equivalent vocational training with professional accreditation).
- Minimum 4 years of post‑related experience (5 years of post‑related and 2 years of function‑related experience); alternatively, ≥10 years in integrated resource management areas including Human Resources and Financial Resources.
- Proven record of achievement in positions of similar scope and responsibility.
- Experience in managing integrated resource programmes in large organisations and complex international, multicultural projects.
- Professional English proficiency (SLP 3333 – listening, speaking, reading, writing).
Desirable Add‑ons
- Master’s degree in engineering.
- Practical experience in operations planning to identify essential engineering services and requirements.
- Prior experience at a NATO tactical or operational level HQ.
- Completion of RMEP, PRINCE2 Foundation/Practitioner courses.
Contract & Conditions
Two‑year definite duration contract, NATO Grade 15. The post reports to OJS REPI 0010 – Section Head (Engineer Infrastructure and Environmental Protection). Secure office environment; normal working conditions apply. No risk of injury (classified as No Risk 3).
