Responsibilities

Your role as an Azure Data Architect at NTT Data involves supporting customers in Big Data projects, collaborating with business analysts and solution architects to understand use cases, data needs, and outcome objectives. You will deliver data acquisition, transformation, cleansing, conversion, compression, and loading of data into data lakes for analytics and machine learning models.

The Azure Data Architect in NTT Data understands the challenges of a cloud-native environment, is capable of thinking outside the box to find innovative yet simple solutions, and shares these solutions with the team.

We seek an engineer who can bridge Data Science and Data Engineering, with a clear understanding of both fields.

If you are a Data Scientist seeking more experience in data preparation, or a Data Engineer interested in Data Science, and willing to adopt a KAIZEN approach to continuously improve your skills and knowledge, you can join NTT Data’s Business Intelligence Service Line as an Azure Data Engineer, in an environment where Japanese and European cultures intertwine.

Required Skills

• Experience in a cloud-native environment with at least one of the major public clouds (GCP/AWS/Azure); 5+ years on Azure preferred
• Knowledge of Big Data architectures, both cloud and on-premise
• Azure infrastructure and networking experience
• Experience delivering proofs-of-concept to address specific business needs using suitable techniques, data sources, and technologies
• Experience migrating workloads from on-premise to cloud
• Monitoring distributed infrastructure using Azure tools or open-source tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus)
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, Python, shell scripting
• Knowledge of SQL
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Kanban
• Leadership experience with medium-sized teams
• Experience with Azure Data tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and related ETL/ELT tools
• Microsoft Certification: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Additional desirable skills include certifications from Cloudera, Databricks, and experience with non-Azure ETL/ELT tools and data visualization solutions like PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau.
