Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d)

We, LeasingMarkt.de, are a team of almost 100 employees dedicated to connecting car dealers and customers interested in leasing. Our marketplace, which includes over a thousand car dealers, serves around two million users in the DACH region and the Netherlands, making us the #1 leasing platform in Germany. To maintain our leadership, we are looking for a new team member at our Düsseldorf location.

As a Software Engineer (m/f/d), you will support the development of one of the largest leasing vehicle marketplaces at LeasingMarkt.de. Your responsibilities include developing responsive single-page application frontend systems for dealers and prospective leasing customers. You will work collaboratively within a cross-functional, agile team to develop solutions and shape our product.

Your Tasks

• Designing and architecting software solutions with your team.
• Driving the technical requirements and development of our product.
• Abstracting complex systems to develop sustainable solutions.
• Ensuring maintainability and flexibility in software development.
• Sharing ideas within the team and visualizing complex concepts for better understanding.

Requirements

• Profound knowledge of PHP backend development with frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, or comparable, along with good SQL database knowledge. Some experience with TypeScript and frameworks such as React.js or Next.js is a plus.
• A passion for continuous improvement, learning, and discussing solutions.
• Hands-on experience with cloud services like AWS, including deployment and management.
• Knowledge of OOP, MVC, PHP, Laravel, Symfony, and SQL.
• Experience working with agile methodologies and Clean Architecture.
• Interest in technical improvements, Domain Driven Development, and operational excellence.
• Ability to clearly present complex topics to non-technical stakeholders.
