We are a digital advertising partner for offline businesses - we support retailers in their marketing activities and help them find a new audience. Would you like to join and be a part of digitalisation of retail?

bonial is part of Axel Springer SE and is the leading "Drive to Store" partner in Germany and France. Every day we inspire millions of users by connecting them to their favourite shops and brands via our platforms kaufDA and MeinProspekt in Germany, and bonial in France.

bonial welcomes both full- and part-timers!

What to expect when joining the Acquisition Domain - Team CATCH

Join us in shaping the future of millions of users who discover our platforms every day.

Our mission is to build landing pages and web services that turn organic visitors into loyal users of our web and native apps. With strong brands like kaufDA, Bonial.fr, and MeinProspekt, we’ve been dominating the top search rankings in the retail space for over 17 years. We’re modernising the full technical stack behind our web platform — landing pages, editorial sites, and web apps — and you’ll play a key role in making this transformation a success. You’ll also explore new technical opportunities to attract and engage future users.

Your role as Full Stack Engineer

You’ll become part of a collaborative, cross-functional team where engineering excellence meets real business impact. Your work will span from backend services to frontend experiences, infrastructure scripts to developer tooling.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js, Fastify, and occasionally Java.
  • Build and evolve frontend applications with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
  • Design and implement APIs (REST) that integrate seamlessly with our headless CMS platforms like Directus and other internal services—ensuring high standards for performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Write clean, testable, and well-documented code.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Bitbucket Pipelines / GitHub Actions) and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform).
  • Deploy and monitor services in Kubernetes and containerised environments.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders from Product and Marketing, ensuring transparency, regular updates, and clear communication.

Your Requirements

  • You have 3+ years of experience building and maintaining Full Stack web applications.
  • You are fluent in Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript; basic Java skills are a plus.
  • You’ve worked with web frameworks like Fastify or Express, and frontend libraries like React / Next.js.
  • You understand the basics of DevOps, including CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • You’re familiar with PostgreSQL or similar SQL-based databases.
  • You are comfortable communicating complex topics in a clear, audience-appropriate way.
  • You bring a proactive, hands-on mentality and enjoy documenting and sharing knowledge with others.
  • Bonus: You’ve used CMS tools like Directus or Strapi in real-world projects.
  • Bonus: You have experience with infrastructure scripting (e.g., Shell, Python) or Terraform, and basic security best practices.

What’s in it for you?

  • A purpose-driven team that values technical excellence, collaboration, and real impact on our users.
  • A technical environment in transformation—help to shape the new stack.
  • Autonomy and ownership from day one.
  • Close collaboration with stakeholders and visibility into company-wide impact.
  • An open-minded team culture where ideas are welcome and learning is ongoing.

  • Free lunch – whenever you’re at the office, we offer you different lunch options – and it’s all on us! Enjoy your lunch at a nearby restaurant that partners with us!
