You will manage a strategic purchasing volume of approximately €80 million annually, covering high alloy materials, energy, technical services, equipment, and CAPEX. You will lead and develop a team of up to 7 professionals and spearhead the reorganization and modernization of the procurement structure.

The role requires close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders worldwide, ensuring the availability of technical goods and raw materials with optimal cost, quality, and delivery. You will develop innovative sourcing strategies and foster strong supplier relationships.

Your Key Responsibilities Include

  • Reorganizing and optimizing current procurement processes and contracts
  • Identifying, qualifying, and developing new suppliers, especially for secondary raw materials
  • Strategic negotiation and management of supply contracts (pricing, payment terms, Incoterms, consignment stock)
  • Managing suppliers through audits, evaluations, approvals, development, and phase-outs
  • Participating in cross-functional projects (e.g., operations, engineering, suppliers)
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives focusing on cost, delivery, and inventory management

Your Profile

You hold a university degree in engineering or a comparable technical field, with at least seven years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the chemical or materials industry. Your background blends strategic insight with operational expertise, managing complex global procurement processes.

As a leader, you are structured, analytical, and hands-on, capable of guiding and developing teams effectively. You possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, comfortable working across all organizational levels and with international suppliers. Your approach is characterized by integrity, flexibility, and a strong sense of responsibility. A solid understanding of corporate governance and procurement compliance is essential. Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus. You bring a modern, globally oriented mindset and organizational talent to navigate complexity in a dynamic environment.
