Base pay range

Are you an experienced warehouse or logistics professional who wishes to join an ever-expanding successful business? Can you manage large teams and constantly innovate on the road to digitising the department?

We are working with a well-known interior design and home staging business in south west London that is looking to hire an experienced Head of Logistics to lead and innovate in this area.

As an individual, you will be responsible for managing a team of 15-20 permanent and contractor staff responsible for installing and collecting interior design projects for clients across central London, the home counties, and nationwide. You will also oversee the management of the company's 3 warehouses and significant stock. Familiarity with stock and inventory systems is essential, as you will oversee the delivery of advanced stock management systems. You will demonstrate strong management skills as part of the senior team, liaising with the FD, Head of Design, Head of Staging, and Head of BD to ensure business efficiency and productivity. A logistical thinker and problem solver who leads by example, you will play a crucial role in the company's growth.

With at least 8-10 years' experience, ideally in a similar role within logistics or a related field, you will have management experience, a friendly and positive demeanor, and a thorough understanding of stock management platforms.

You must have:

  • Management experience overseeing logistics teams of 15-30 people
  • Experience with stock management systems, Inflow or alternatives
  • Ability to deal effectively with senior stakeholders
  • A positive, problem-solving attitude
  • Strong awareness and understanding of Health and Safety

You will be:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day logistical operations
  • Overseeing and managing the team
  • Responsible for the company's proprietary stock as well as clients' stock
  • Ensuring all stock is correctly tagged and logged in management systems
  • Strategically planning the logistical calendar weekly to ensure installations and collections meet high standards
  • Hiring and recruiting team members
  • Planning the layout and efficiency of warehouses and inventory
  • Overseeing the company's fleet of vans
