We are seeking a strong technology leader based in the DACH region to oversee the successful delivery of outcomes specific to this market. This role will manage multiple software engineering and infrastructure teams, requiring a broad, interdisciplinary background to lead across diverse technical domains.

This role is hybrid (3 days in the office).

Requirements:

  1. End-to-end ownership of the Technology Function for DACH.
  2. Partner with project leads and stakeholders to define, track, and manage projects, ensuring delivery within budget and timelines.
  3. Develop strategies and processes for modernizing the markets, including product, resourcing, and back-office functions.
  4. Formulate vendor and location strategies, utilizing Technology centers and local resources.
  5. Ensure SLAs, metrics, and continuous improvement measures are in place and demonstrable.
  6. Manage the markets' Tech budget, understanding and challenging costs and timelines to mitigate delays and find efficiencies.
  7. Identify dependencies, risks, and issues, and implement mitigation plans.
  8. Create regular management reports to highlight progress, risks, and ensure alignment across Technology.
  9. Collaborate with regional teams to ensure a cross-functional approach.
  10. Act as a key link between the Technology delivery team and the business to align requirements and timelines.
  11. Coach and develop project teams for successful implementation.
  12. Communicate updates effectively to stakeholders.

Key attributes:

  • Proven track record leading major Technology programs as a senior project manager or director.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills managing complex projects and suppliers.
  • Solid Technology knowledge including agile practices, large-scale data platforms (GCP, AWS), Java, .Net, and databases.
  • Ability to define and implement KPIs around quality, efficiency, and delivery for distributed Scrum teams.
  • Exceptional multitasking, strategic, and tactical thinking abilities.
  • Prioritization and adaptability with high attention to detail.
  • Strong relationship management skills and collaboration ability.
  • Understanding of data legislation and privacy compliance in Europe.

Skills:

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in critical domains or programs.
  • Extensive project management skills focused on business-centric projects.
  • Ability to develop governance methodologies for successful programs.
  • Excellent communication skills for professional interaction with diverse leaders and experts.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Effective presentation and reporting skills.
  • High-quality documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage competing requirements.
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, and analytical skills.
  • Technical aptitude with Microsoft Office, Atlassian tools, Java, and/or .Net.
  • Familiarity with industry standards in software development.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Experience managing cross-border teams.
