Cluster Lead Compensations and Performance (m/f/d) 80-100%

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will represent the needs of the division to the global Performance & Reward (P&R) function and be responsible for providing seamless service to the company.

The work model for the role is: hybrid (#LI-Hybrid)

You will contribute to the strategy within the functional and geographical area of responsibility in accordance with the guidelines, policies, and procedures of the ABB Group in Germany, Denmark, and Slovenia. The main stakeholders are Business Partners (HRBPs) and HR Services.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Implementing the compensation and performance strategy in accordance with ABB guidelines, advising the company on strategy, processes, policies, and best practices within the functional and geographical area of responsibility.

  • Develop, lead, and manage compensation programs, ensuring compliance with ABB policies and procedures, as well as any applicable collective bargaining agreements, implementing total reward processes and procedures, and their legal implications.

  • Collaborate with HRBPs and managing directors to resolve HR issues, manage projects and pilot projects, and serve as the central point of contact for Group Expert Services in the relevant countries and areas of responsibility.

  • Ensure compliance with laws and HR policies, monitor total reward trends, and develop merger integration options.

You will be part of a dynamic and intercultural team where you can share ideas openly at any time.

Qualifications for the role

  • Completed degree in business administration, (labor) law, or comparable; a master's degree is desirable.

  • You are an expert in compensation programs and their administration, as well as in broader HR topics. You have several years of experience working with collective bargaining agreements, co-determination, and compensation law. Specific experience from a company or employers' association is valuable, as is in-depth internal expertise regarding processes, the preparation, and evaluation of key performance indicators.

  • You are confident in the application of collective bargaining agreements, ideally in the M&E industry, and are willing to delve deeper. You develop collectively agreed solutions as a basis for negotiations in internal and external committees. You work closely with local HR business partners and labor relations.

  • Experience working in a global organization is an advantage, with proven cultural sensitivity and experience in dealing with multiple countries.

  • In addition, you bring a good dose of pragmatism, decisiveness, and a willingness to develop solutions, as well as proven business skills.

  • You have proven experience in dealing with HR colleagues and managers, communicate effectively, collaborate, and act as an interface with senior management.

  • Your working style is characterized by a clear service orientation and a high degree of independence, allowing you to advance your tasks and projects quickly and independently.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and HRIS (e.g., SAP/Workday).

  • Fluent German and business English.
