IT Systems & Deployment Engineer

Overview

Founded in 2020, DRIMCo GmbH is a well-funded Munich-based startup that digitises industrial requirements in tender documents and optimises business processes using artificial intelligence and natural processing technologies.

We are looking for a skilled IT Systems & Deployment Engineer to manage the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of our SaaS product (DRIM) at customer premises, as well as handle the current internal IT Admninistration. This role requires someone with strong problem-solving skills to navigate the technical complexities of different customer environments. Additionally, this person will be responsible for managing remote access, internal IT infrastructure, and maintaining various internal tools and services. Please find below the full job description:

NOTE: This is not a DEVOPS position and is focused on systems adminstration.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Deployment & Support:

• Install and configure our SaaS software on customer infrastructure (Windows/Linux).
• Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues, including OS restrictions, firewalls, missing dependencies, and offline environments.
• Ensure smooth remote access to customer systems and manage access requests from the internal team.

Internal IT Administration:

• Manage company IT infrastructure, including user management, system security, and access controls.
• Perform OS installations (Windows/Linux) and software setups for internal use.
• Perform Backups and create and follow a backup strategy
• Provide IT support for employees, including basic Office 365 administration and user requests.

Systems & Tool Management:

• Maintain and manage internal tools like GitLab, SonarQube, and other development-related software.
• Work with containerized environments (Docker) to support software deployments and internal tools.
• Ensure basic security measures for internal systems and remote access solutions.

Requirements:

• Experience: 5+ years in IT administration, system deployment, or similar roles.
• Operating Systems: Strong knowledge of Windows and mandatory Linux system administration.
• Software Deployment: Experience installing and troubleshooting software in diverse environments, including Docker-based deployments.
• Networking & Security: Good understanding of networking, VPNs, firewalls, and security best practices.
• Tools & Services: Familiarity with tools like GitLab, SonarQube, Office 365, and remote access solutions.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues in various customer setups.
• Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) to automate installations.
• Familiarity with command line tools for efficiency in solving common tasks.
